What exactly is SkyScarf?
SkyScarf is a multisearch engine that allows you to search all the Internet through just one text box. Here's an example:
Let's say you want to learn more about The Beatles music band. You may first go to Wikipedia, search it and read about the band. Then you may want to watch some videoclips so you go to YouTube, type in The Beatles again and watch some videos. Then go to Google, type The Beatles again and visit some forums and fan websites.
This is the way we use to surf through the Internet. But you have entered wikipedia.org, youtube.com and google.com, looked for the search box and typed in The Beatles 3 times. You could have avoided so much typing.
With SkyScarf you can type your keywords once and search hundreds of places. It groups all the best search engine services into one.
How does it work?
When you go to SkyScarf you can type your keywords and then just click the search engine you want results from (if you press the Enter key it will search in the first button displayed). That's it, just type in the keywords and move the mouse over the buttons to learn more about the services, then click them to search that site.
The sites are ordered by how much the users use them. This way the best sites are always at the top.
Add SkyScarf to your browser
You can use SkyScarf from the search box in your browser like you do with other search engines. To install the SkyScarf Open Search just click the arrow next to the searchbox in the toolbar and then Add the SkyScarf search.
Prefixes
Start using prefixes to search even faster! What we most like about SkyScarf is the Prefixes feature. The main idea is to add prefixes to your search query to save time and search faster. You can type prefixes at the search toolbar or at SkyScarf main page.
